That is my great-great-grandfather, the Chazzan Shmaya Gilden, davening in the background as we light the Chanukah menorah. A true testament to the story of Chanukah. It is in the merit of my ehliche ancestors that I have discovered the emet of Torah, B’H. May all that I merit serve as an aliyah for the ehliche neshamot of those who came before me and paved the way to my observance today. Thank you, Hashem, for the family that I was born to, the life that you have given me, and the light of Torah which surrounds me today and every day.
