About
Welcome to The WRITE World: the official blog of Lexah Ashlee, where she writes to make it right.
Lexah Ashlee is a writer, lover of literature, and (most importantly) a believer in humanity. Her numerous interests include (but are certainly not limited to): literature, political science, policy studies, constitutional law, history, neuropsychology, sociology, cultural anthropology, religion, languages, and philosophy.
At the young age of 20, Lexah graduated summa cum laude with an Honors degree in English Literature. She is currently matriculating in a Master of Fine Arts Program for Creative Writing. In addition, she is writing the dual memoir of a Holocaust survivor and her impact upon Lexah’s very own life, while also working avidly on poetry and fiction. After obtaining her Master’s Degree, she intends to continue on to get her PhD, in order to further her diverse and copious research interests within her field of study.
Lexah is a strong believer in the Jewish concept of Tikkun Olam, literally translating from Hebrew into English as “Repair [the] World.” It is a belief long recognized by the Jewish people that everybody has an obligation to use their talents to help bring about the repair of the world, in order to make society a better place in which to live and thrive for future generations. Reaching people through writing and art is just one way that Lexah intends to participate and play her part in Tikkun Olam.
Words have the power to change the world, even if it is one person at a time.
